Electronic Design magazine for June 2014 edition has been released. You can read latest news and technical information needed by electronic engineers and engineering managers through the magazine. Here are featured articles for this month.
Assess the Challenges of Next-Generation EV Charging
With electric vehicles continuing to grow in popularity, home-based charging will have to overcome several issues.
Industrial Automation Relies On Ethernet
Various flavors of Ethernet connect PLCs in a timely fashion via a wide range of hardware and protocols.
Secure Wireless Sensor Networks Against Attacks
Well-established principles, appropriate protocols and ciphers, and the randomness inherent in the physics of thermal noise add up to fortify systems to ensure they are both secure and efficient.
Oscilloscope Probes Influence Measurements
A little knowledge of the characteristics of your probes goes a long way toward ensuring their proper usage.
Add GPS To Your USB Dongle
Using a basic GPS-specific chip and some standard support ICs, you can build a USB dongle that provides GPS capability with a Windows PC, enabling geolocation functions and features. The GPS dongle reports data in standard NMEA0183 format and can fit in a small, 60- by 20.3- by 12.3-mm package and uses free software drivers to complete the location function.
